STARTING TO WRITE IN JAPANESE

I have a blog post that I will be completing before the Michigan game this Saturday where I have to write in hiragana. I'm kind of nervous because I feel like I sometimes forget certain characters and it's frustrating. I tried to focus on studying for my Ch. 2 test today, but I feel like I need to vamp up my studying of hiragana in general over the weekend so I can do well on my hiragana test next week. I went to the best of LaFun last night which was fun (lol). I'm going to try writing out some romaji as a little warm-up for my blog coming out this weekend where I'll use hiragana:

Hajime Mashite. Wastashi wa Peterson desu. Amerikanjin desu. Ichinensei desu. Senkoo wa jinruigaku desu. Doozo yoroshiku!

Okay, so I only had to look up the romaji for anthropology, and the rest I remembered on my own! Anyway, till next time!

Japanese Commercials I really love watching Japanese commercials. For last week's listening activity, I also watched Japanese commercials and it was really interesting to compare Japanese commercials to American ones. I personally think that Japanese commercials are really highly produced but also much more creative than American commercials are. A lot of them are really fast, colorful, and funny which makes it very enjoyable to watch them. There were a lot of food, beauty, and clothing commercials which is also common with American commercials. I think watching Japanese commercials is most useful for acquiring cultural knowledge for me personally. I do not have any interaction with Japanese popular culture because I do not watch anime, read manga, and have never been to Japan before. 書く宿題｜最悪の日 悪いことがたくさんあったじ、今日は一番最悪の日と思います。まず、ルームメイトは今朝私を起こすのを忘れていましたから、クラスに遅れました。クラスに遅れることが心配だったので、朝食を食べなくてしまったんです。クラスに走てから、私はだれかに足をふられました。早くクラスに行けばよかったですが、クラスに30分遅れてつきました。

スキーの旅行  先週末の土曜日、私は初めてスキーに行きました。 スキーをするのが好きじゃないと思いましたから、前にスキーをしたことがありませんでした。野外クラブは土曜日にスキー旅行をしました、そして、私のルームメイトは私が彼女と一緒に行きたかったです。 それで、行きました。それは本当に楽しかったです！ スキーリゾートはミシガン州にあったため、ノートルダムからスキーリゾートまでは2時間でした。始めは、とてもスキーをしにくいです！でも、友達が助けてくれました。 1時間後、スキーはもっと楽しくなりました。私たちは7時間そこにいたので、私はたくさんスキーをしました。 私は昼ご飯に2つのおいしいホットドッグを食べました。私の一日はとても楽しかったのですが、午後9時にキャンパスに帰ったので、太鼓イベントに行くことができませんでした。
